Sweden has four price areas, Norway five, Denmark two that are not even synchronously connected. Almost every mistake made with Nordic data starts by treating a country as one market.
The Nordic power market is the oldest coupled electricity market in Europe and, confusingly, the one with the least standardised data. Nord Pool — often written Nordpool — publishes the day-ahead result, historically called the Elspot price, and each national TSO publishes its own operational series on top.
If you only need the electricity price, ENTSO-E is the shortest route. If you need generation, reserves or transmission data, you will be visiting four national portals.
The Nordic system is split into price areas that reflect where the grid constrains, not where the borders are. Prices between them differ by large amounts for weeks at a time.

Fingrid and Energinet deserve a specific mention. Both run modern open data platforms with documented APIs, keys issued automatically and sensible rate limits — considerably friendlier than most of Europe. If you are prototyping Nordic logic, start there even if your target market is elsewhere.

That opportunity cost, the water value, is what sets the price, and it moves with reservoir levels, inflow forecasts and expectations about the rest of the winter.
This is why reservoir filling data is a first-class price input in the Nordics in a way it never is in a thermal market. ENTSO-E publishes weekly reservoir levels; the national TSOs publish more detail. A Nordic price model without hydrology is not a model.
Unlike Germany or Spain, negative Nordic prices cluster in windy winter nights rather than sunny midday hours. Anything you built on a solar-shaped duck curve will mis-time its assumptions by twelve hours and six months.
